Charles L. Orr, also known as Charlie, has served as Chief Executive Officer of a DSN Global 100 Company since June 2013 and as a member of its Board of Directors beginning in 2006. Mr. Orr is a seasoned professional with 23 years of experience in direct selling, and 49 years of executive business experience in a variety of industries and distribution channels.

Charlie was selected as Chief Executive Officer based on his track record of leading complex organizations, as well as strong executive and personal qualities. Under Charlie's leadership and guidance, for the first time, the company was ranked in the Direct Selling News sixth annual DSN Global 100 list (2015). This list is an exclusive ranking of the top revenue-generating companies in the direct selling industry worldwide. This year, DSN introduced a new subset of the Global 100: the DSN North America 50. As its name implies, the North America 50 ranks the most significant players in one of the world's largest direct selling markets, and Mr. Orr's company also ranked on this list of notable companies.

Charlie also served (March 2009-May 2013) as Executive Director of the Direct Selling Education Foundation (DSEF.org), where he held ultimate responsibility for the Foundation's programs and activities.

In 2005, Charlie received the distinctive Circle of Honor Award from the Direct Selling Education Foundation.

In 2007, he received the Direct Selling Association's highest honor, its prestigious Hall of Fame Award, presented to legendary industry leaders.

Mr. Orr was President and Chief Executive Officer of Shaklee Corporation from 1993 to 2000, where he was responsible for the performance of the company's diverse business units. He has also served as an advisor and board member to several private and public companies from 1995 to 2013. Past board affiliations include Shaklee Corporation, the Direct Selling Association (DSA), the Direct Selling Education Foundation (DSEF), Wine Shop at Home, Herbalife Ltd., Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company, and Zero Technologies, LLC.

From 1978 to 1990, Mr. Orr held senior management and director positions in a variety of life insurance and financial services enterprises including Federated Investors, Continental Insurance, Southwestern Life Insurance Company and Connecticut General Insurance Corporation. He is an advisor to several private companies. He has four decades of business experience in a broad spectrum of industries, cultures and distribution channels, including life insurance, mutual funds, dietary supplements and information technology and systems. He has accumulated a successful track record in guiding all major disciplines; marketing, sales, research and development, strategic planning, government relations and international.

He earned a BA in Psychology from Wesleyan University and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
